Heated Rear Windscreen Problem

The wiring loom for the tailgate was repaired by a garage a little while ago and I've checked that there is no sign of further damage. The heated rear windscreen was not working at all and there was only a trace of any voltage at the supply side, until I found a poor earth connection on the other side of the windscreen. Once fixed I got a full 13+ volts with the tailgate open. However I then noticed that it still wasn't working when driving and upon further checking I find that there is only a voltage reading when the tailgate is open. When closed, there is negligible voltage - typically 0.4V.



Can anybody shed any light on this please as it's got me baffled.
