Window regulator problem

For the past few weeks my drivers window has gotten a little slow, and on occasion hasnt worked at all, mainly when wet. This afternoon it just decided not to work at all. This evening on trying it again the regulator dropped the window by about 3 inch and then stopped, and would not do anything.



So in the dark and cold I had to at least get the window up. So stripped it down and got the window up and jammed it up inplace. As I was there I decided to pull the regulator and motor out.



On inspection it seems that the motor had somehow got water logged and gave up from that.



I was wondering if I was to just get a new motor (no regulator attached), is there anything that needs doing to set the new one up. Positioning of the regulator or even after electronically?
