LEDs - Serial vs. Parallel

Hi Guys,



I think I asked this previously but never got a definitive answer.



I have 2 LED strips and want to pop them in the footwells as courtesy lights. The wires I need to tap in to is all sorted, I know that stuff, its whether to wire them in serial or parallel.



I understand that in serial (1 after the other) the Voltage is divided between the led strips (so 6v to each) and that in parallel they will both receive 12V, but I'm not sure which is best.



I can't find the ebay auction I originally bought them from as it was AGES age, but I've found a near identical set which lists them as 12v, so would presume parallel?
