Tailgate loom repaired, but rear wiper still only clicking

Hello. First just wanted to say what a great resource this forum is. Stumbled upon it through google and it's been a massive help in getting my car back on the road, so cheers for that.



Anyway enough of the brown nosing. I'm having some problems with the rear wiper. I have repaired the tailgate loom, as there was damage there creating various problems, and added in extra wire for all the wires. Everything connected to it is working perfectly, including the battery no longer appearing to be draining, but the rear wiper will still not move. The jets work, but there is only a clicking noise when turning the wiper on which I think is the relay? I'm wondering if it may have seized has it has been stood for some time, so I'm going to attempt to take the arm off and try and wiggle the column a little (although that is looking difficult as the arm seems to have seized on!).



I'm hoping that works, but I figured just in case it didn't I'd see if anyone had any other suggestions on what may be causing the issue while I try that fix. I was constantly checking the loom when I was working on it as I really didn't want to have to do it again, so I'm pretty confident that shouldn't be the issue again although I know it could be a possibility.
