25 / 45 as a cheapish commuter
So with a new job a lot further from home my Landrover Discovery will prove too costly to use daily. I intend to keep it to tow a big caravan however.
So Im in the market for a cheap diesel car to do the miles economically Ive done a lot of browsing and homework but keep coming back to Rovers that I have admired for years but never owned.
Im happy and able to do most maintenance myself.
So a few questions:-
Are these cars at minimum 10 years old still reliable?
Parts availability?
Real world fuel consumption?
Id be looking at something with less than 100K miles preferably.
(Seems to be loads of really great looking low mileage petrols out there, far less diesels - it will be a dieselthough, not interested in petrols - dont suggest them!
I suppose you lot are biased but are they a decent enough wee motor?
Regards
Gav
