Boot lid opening and closing

Hi,

I would be grateful for advice please. I have a Y reg 75 2.0 Auto.

I 've been noticing, especially when it's very cold, that when I open the boot lid either by using the key or the release button from inside the car that the boot lock?keeps opening and shutting ( very fast). Sometimes I have to drive with the boot lid not fully closed.

I don't use the 75 that often and its always kept in my garage when not in use.

What can I / should I do to eliminate this problem , please.
