Mg tf 115 - £700
Hi members,
Selling my TF. It's on eBay now, starting price is £200 with £700 reserve. I am happy to sell to members at this reserve price.
Details on the car:
FOR SALE MG TF 115. MOT till September.
Mileage is currently at 67K. Will maybe creep up very very slowly, depending on if I get another car this weekend or not.
I have spent thousands on this car and in my ~3 years of ownership have replaced:
- All standard servicable parts (leads, spark plugs, filters etc)
- HG, IMG, waterpump
- Engine bay coolant pipes
- Radiator
- All 4 shocks
- Front N/S wishbone
- Both rear upper balljoints
- Alternator
- Both front headlamp units
- Rear o/s headlamp unit
- Under engine torque tamers replaced
- O/s engine mount and stabiliser bar replaced
- Door locks
- Cat
- All wheel caps replaced with high quality ones and 1 locking nut per wheel
And it has had the following mods done to it:
- ITG panel filter fitted
- TT mk/7 exhaust
- Front seat splitter
- Raven black vents
- Custom made BRG/black caps and badges
- Full interior rebuild, was originally black but now cream and alacantra half leather with wooden wheel and center console
- 6.2 sound system (powered by integrated amp, one sub woofer behind each seat, not bone shaking as I dont like that but adds a nice bit of warmth to the music)
- BRG interior lights fitted
- BRG leather gaiters fitted
- Additional ahhoogaa horn fitted using seperate horn wiring system (two steering wheel buttons operate normal horn)
- Alternator cover fitted
The car has been lovingly cared for and I have spent time twice a year, once before winter and summer, using a rotary buffer to give the car a real shine and bodywork protection. The hood is treated at the same time to keep in top condition.
There are three main mechanical trouble points on this car:
1) The inlet manifold gasket is leaking. Its a very, very small amount, probably leaking a mm every two/three weeks or so - I only noticed it as I'm very particular about taking care of the engine and wouldnt have found it if I hadnt used a flexi mirror to check along the head/under the IMG during some servicing.
2) There may be very minor engine movement. I say this because when accelerating from standstill it feels like there is, hence replacment of the mounts and torque tamers. This in all honesty may not be an issue and it may just be me being an idiot; this is the only TF I've ever driven and I've never had another owner drive mine for feedback (dont know any). There is no noise when accelerating and no feeling of movement when breaking. The mounts and torque tamers are brand new so have not been replaced with worn parts. There is very little vibration in the cabin when idling, so I really dont know if its a problem or not.
3) Intermittent MEL. Error code due to cat efficiency, however it will come and go - the car passed the MOT so I have not been bothered by this in any way.
