MGF VVC vs WV Golf

Yesterday night returning from FRL on M25 I accelerated quite bit.



I'm not a sport driver TBH, but... suddenly a Golf passed me by quite easily.

I was disappointed o_o"



So, I tested Gloria and pushed on the gas. I feel the car reached 110mhp with a bit of fatigue and perhaps will not reache the 120mh nominal.



I have a 52mm, the car is serviced.

I'm in the normal performance range?

I'm a bad driver?

Or something is holding back the beast?



Can air and oil filter reduce performances if dirty?
