Seized/Stiff Clutch Pedal

The Mrs reported that her Mk2 25 derv was sounding funny and she

thought the clutch was going, when I got a chance to have a look

the pedal which has been a bit stiff since we got it a couple of years

ago was VERY stiff and actually got stuck when depressed fully and

took ages to come down, I was thinking it could be the release arm

but any theories or other possibilities would be appreciated folks. ;)
