The 6 has gone, good and bad
Eventually lost patience with mine at 7.30 am this morning after only 8 months and now have gone back to honda, fastest i have ever bought a car from deciding to swap to being on my drive= 2hrs.
To be fair the 6 was probably the best car i have had for the money 12 plate for 8k but i think it was allways going to be a its bonus.
Fed up with driving it and being annoyed with parts of it that were not fixable or basically not pleasurable.
It is a shame and i can say i gave it a go and just glad i bought a 1 owner car and not new.
Points that really annoyed me were-
£2.99 gear box
handbrake
bad fitting window rubbers (replaced)
abs lights coming on (fixed twice but still do it)
useless sat nav compared to £100 tom tom
reverse sensors too quiet.
Now i would say if i was a rep doing 200 motorway miles a day i would have another but around town it wasnt a nice drive.
Good points
Cheap
lovely on motorway unless bad rain
quite spacious
lots of toys (apart from sat nav)
cheap insurance
huge boot
Bad
for ever stalling (latest remap)
constant misting up
felt cheap
warning lights as soon as got wet
gear box felt 30 yrs old
might be me but rear view when reversing.
Now im not saying dont buy as i got a good car that looked brand new for 8k but it is in a much lower league than honda / ford/ vauxhall in my opinion but as said i paid a lot less.
I bought this car from a dealer 50+ miles away which i would never do again which was my closest and which didnt help if it had to go back cost me £40 in fuel, £35 insuring loan car, 2 half days which meant there is no way i was going back and forward which meant this car was not for me, Honda come and fetch and leave totally free courtesy car.
