Rover 25 Heater fail

I've had such good advice and help from you before! Now, need some more please!



My Rover 25, 2002 had a Head Gasket replacement October 2013 - been brilliant. However, now the heater is making funny noises and not working properly. It happened before and only worked properly again after the HG was replace. So, I'm wondering if the HG could be going again?



Things seem ok otherwise - water/coolant ok, using a little oil over months nothing much, lifters noisy. ± 48500 miles.
