VVC coil change ............. Oh why oh why!!

The new coil pack arrived, two coils on a metal plate already mounted, so thought ti would be a good idea to fit and see if that is the source of my judder under load.

However we soon hit a BIG snag :crying: some a-hole has wanged the bolt up to god only knows what torque on the drivers side and probably loctited too Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Even with good full hex sockets the bolt head is chewing up. It did crack a tiny bit but then has gone solid and I simply cannot move it. It seems that we will have to make a trip to the garage and see if they can get some heat onto to to free it off. I nearly broke my hand when the socket slipped off I had that much pressure on the breaker bar. The sub frame did not give like my hand and little finger did :crying: .

Have connected the new coils and the car is running and it seems to idle more smoothly and revs very cleanly. Only driving will tell if the judder is gone or not. Have already sorted out a replacement of the correct size and length bolt.

For the trip to the garage will have to cable tie the coils to something to suppot them and go gently ......................................... if that is possible on our $th world roads around here.
