Mg zr 1.4 abs

Hi all,

I've got a base 3dr MG ZR 105 - base model (manual windows, mirrors, no a/c etc.)

I believe it has no ABS, I have locked the front wheels down a country lane before. There is no ABS pump, just the brake valve assembly on the firewall.

I change the driver side CV joint as the boot had failed, the old CV had no ABS ring, no sensor on the hub and no wiring was in place. The passenger side has the original CV joint (looks as old as the driver side), but it has the ABS ring, there is a sensor with wiring up into the engine bay. That wire connects to a white plug, then into the loom.
There is a 40A ABS fuse in the fuse box.

Edit: There is also no sign of ABS on either rear wheel, only lines visible are the brake hose and handbrake cable.

Why is there a wheel speed sensor when there is no sign of ABS?
