Exhaust System for 2003 135 TF 1.8

Hi all,
My 2003 135 TF 1.8 is in need of at least the rear silencer box (one of the tail pipes sheared off yesterday due to corrosion) I suspect the exhaust is probably still the original. I'll take my car into the local national exhaust chain this week to ask them to check the entire system over and advise which parts require replacement.

I'm considering whether it's worthwhile to go for a stainless steel replacement and I'm guessing that if I do, I may be wise to replace the entire system with stainless as I intend to keep my car while she is still going strong. I suspect if I go for a mild steel replacement I may expect 2 - 4 years out of it. I tend to use the car for short journeys at weekends and several weekdays for my daily 20 miles motorway commute. Do you think it's worth going stainless ? Should I replace the complete system ?

I'm not really looking for major performance gains and I don't want a really loud system; just a nice looking, well made system that should last and which comes with a long guarantee. Can anyone recommend a supplier/fitter ideally within 120 miles of West London ? (I'll travel further if it's really worthwhile - up to 200 miles) Also could you give me an idea on how much I should reasonably expect to be paying please ? Many thanks, Dave
