Hi all, I am hoping someone can assist me. I have been left a 2002 MGTF which has been standing for almost a year. The battery was flat so I charged it fully and reconnected it.
The problem I have is it would appear the key fob is not connecting to the car. I have tried the usual taking the battery out and pressing the buttons and then re inserting and pressing the lock button several times but nothing seems to be happening apart from setting the alarm off, I had to disconnect the hooters as it was driving the neighbours mad.
The car has 2 fobs and I put new batteries in each one and tried with both but to no avail.
Does anybody know of any other sequence that I should be trying to get them matched? I'm in north Kent so if anyone knows of someone in this area that may be able to help it would be appreicated. I do not have the EKA code either so can't start it at all but I have been told that I can get this on line somewhere so will search for that.
