I've just done the throttle body replacement on my 25

Before actually going through with this I was in quite a bit of speculation as to whether or not it was going to make much of a difference at all because of all the stuff I had been reading online, however thanks to an extremely helpful guide found on these forums (84-103bhp - Guide to putting the power back into the Rover 25 *in handy pdf format*) I was able to quite smoothly got through with the modification once I had sourced the parts (probably the hardest part).

Here is a picture of the old throttle body that would only open up to about 30degrees.

Here is the new one which opens a full 90degrees.

And here it is fully fitted into the car.

For those of you ummming and arrring about doing this mod yourself, I would HIGHLY reccommend it as it has brought a whole new lease of life to my Rover 25. Although its only a 1.4, it now has some serious acceleration for its engine size and once the MEMS has fully compensated for the changes, I can imagine it is going to run amazingly.
