Guys a couple of quick questions, I am contemplating replacing the seats in my 98 F. I read that before the job is started the battery must be disconnected and left to stand for 30 mins or so. I think I understand why this is necessary. However my questions are:

Can I only use seats that have come out a similar year model, 98 Mk1 F ?

I believe there are two coloured plugs that have been fitted (Red and Yellow) I think, am I therefore only looking for seats that have the same coloured plugs as my own or are they interchangeable?
