Rover 25 Spark Plugs advice please?

Hello all,

I have purchased a second hand, year 2000, Rover 25 which has started playing up after owning it around 3 months.

About me: I am approaching 60 and unable to work due to incapacity so my finances are poor.

I only use the car to travel to and from the nearest supermarket and to take and collect my wife to work (a 3 mile round trip) 5 days each week so travel well under 5k miles per year.

Car mileage is 67,000 miles.

It judders at low revs so I am suspecting spark plug or similar issues as I have to pretty much keep my foot to the floor and play the clutch, in order to prevent the vehicle bucking and threatening to stall.

No milky look to the oil so I do not immediately suspect the head gasket but I do have to keep topping up the coolant as around a weekly occurrence.

I am a real novice but am prepared to get my hands dirty and coming from an IT Support background am reasonably able to perform problem-solving exercises.

As said, funds are limited so I am seeking to obtain cheap but serviceable new spark plugs to confirm that as the problem or not and hopefully resolve it at the same time, if it is.

I have found some plugs called BOSCH Super Plus FR7DC+ at a price I can afford but would really appreciate any advice someone may feel better qualified than me (and that's not so hard ) to offer.
Thanks very much, in advance.
