Alarm self test procedure

Been having some false alarms and issues with the drivers lock recently, not necessarily related. I did the alarm test yesterday, entered test mode successfully; I get a flash of the led raising and lowering the door sills, opening and closing the doors, but nothing when I move around inside the car.

Volumetric sensor? In the past I can recall the alarm activating when I lean into the cabin, so I must have one. I understand it's installed behind the t-bar -- whereabouts and what does it look like?

Does anyone know how a fault shows during the test procedure?

Interestingly, the alarm armed fine after the test and hasn't gone off since lol
