Hi,
I'm just about to buy a year 2000 2L diesel 25 (174000 kms and little use in the last 8 months) and I'll copy here what I wrote in the '200' forum above:

RE: the driving. One very noticeable thing was that the car seemed to lack power when pulling away in first and accelerating in other gears, and then suddenly the power kicked in. Is that 'normal'?

I don't think it could be normal as it's just too slow to respond properly.
So, any obvious problem-solution ideas welcome.
