Stuck in the Mud
What a fun afternoon I had.
I Drove to Ramsgate yesterday to see an old friend, but got stuck for an hour in Canterbury city centre. So today, for the trip home, I decided to take the country roads avoiding Canterbury, thinking it would be quicker. Big mistake!
As I was coming back into Ashford, I pulled over onto a grass verge, that I have pulled onto many times before, to let a car through. This time, I didn't drive out. Clearly I had decided to forget about the last 2 months of rain, the verge was like a swamp.
This was probably the most embarrassing scenario I have been in recently, bright yellow car, roof down, Stuck by the side of the road, conveniently, a previously dead road, suddenly come alive with hikers!
After half an hour of waiting to be rescued by a friend, who couldn't find me, a nice lady, driving an old Freelander (of all things,) came to my aid.
This is the first time I have been stuck, but lesson learnt... Keep a tow rope in the car, I would have been out much sooner!
On a side note, I didn't see a single F/TF driver soaking up the sun today!
Worst of all, I only washed Bea yesterday morning!
