53 MG ZR+ 120 1.8 3-door Black 40,000 miles

December 2003 MG ZR 1.8 120+ 3-door in Black, family owned from new with 40,000 miles.



I bought this car from a friend whose family had owned it from new. First his mother, then it was passed onto him. I bought this car as a project as it had over heated and wrecked the engine.



So I have fitted a good secondhand engine (70,000miles) fitted with a new MLS headgasket. Also fitted new 3-piece clutch, Gates timing belt kit, water pump, thermostat and seals. Plus new aux belts, rear crankshaft oil seal, drive shaft oil seals, new oil and filter and of course OAT antifreeze.



Plus have repaired and modified the SAAB heater valve as the rubber bung had ended up in the thermostat, a probably cause of the overheating!



MOT till July 2014, taxed till September 2014. Some service history and receipts for parts fitted.



Car has usual features, electric sunroof, mirrors, windows, central locking, Kenwood CD Tuner, 17inch alloys with good tyres, different rear exhaust silencer.



Bad points: only one key and fob, wear to drivers seat, slight damage to edge of drivers door (pictured but hard to see).



Bodywork is in superb condition with no rust. I have removed all the wheelarches liners and waxoyled the underside.
