ZR TD weird? acceleration problem

I recently purchased a ZR+ TD 115 and it's a pleasant little car. I have noticed what I believe is a problem with it, but I have never owned a diesel so cannot pinpoint what the problem might be.



It's recently had its EGR valve thoroughly cleaned so it's not that.



When driving on a dual carriage way or motorway it seems to accelerator quicker when my foot isn't planted to the floor. For example with the foot down it will get so far, but when I actually lift off a bit, it has a surge of acceleration.



Surely this is not right, but what could the problem be?
