cambelt noise

hello all



i have just had a rover 45 diesel with 88.00 on the clock



the car came with paperwork saying it had the timing belts done last year



the is also writing in the cam belt cover saying when they was changed



but when the car is running the seems to be a loud noise coming from the cambelt well its coming from inside the cover



is this normal or do you think it need looking at
