Fuse 18 Keeps Blowing
AFAIK this fuse supplies the window lift relay and the mirror heating elements - I don't have electrically adjustable mirrors. The fuse doesn't blow immediately and he windows work fine after I've changed it. I don't use the car every day and when I come back to it the fuse has gone again.
Obviously an intermittent short on the wiring is a possibility, but not easy to find.
I could believe it blows when I put the battery on charge but I don't see why this should be - the supply isn't live with the ignition off.
Measuring the resistance from the fuse output to ground gives 14 Ohms, which seems about right.
Disconnecting the mirror heaters is probably the next move but has anyone got any better ideas?
