2001 45TDi Throwing a Wobbly

Been getting a lot of vibration through the car between 70-85mph under acceleration. It's not bad either side of those speeds, and is fine when coasting at those speeds.

I had a new clutch fitted last week after the release bearing collapsed, I was hoping that would fix it but it hasn't. I thought maybe the clutch hadn't been running true. No such luck.

The tyres are not that old, I had the front wheels rebalanced yesterday and tracking and alignment redone. Guy said the wheels were 120grammes out. He said he couldn't see any obvious wear in the suspension and steering bushes.

It has improved, but still evident at those speeds.

I only have budget tyres fitted. Could it be the tyres themselves are faulty, and they change their dynamics at speed? It seems strange to me that it is only really bad under acceleration.

The vibration feels like it's in front but could it actually be the rear wheels?

I'm thinking of getting 4 new better tyres, but I just spent £470 on it last week so am reluctant to spend even more, especially since they still have about 6mm of tread.

Any suggestions before I do?
