cam belt info

Was wondering if anyone knew when MGR fitted their belts on in the factory to the KV6 engines ,if they marked the gears with tipex marks on the gears.

Im trying to ascertain if the belts have been done on my restoration project but cant find any evidence or notes in the service book (there appears to be one large gap between 90,000km and 150,000km done between servicing notes and different owners) Took the cover off the main drive belt and the main belt looks fine and noticed their was tipex timing marks at various points on the front cog,hoping this is an indication that the car has had at least one belt change in its 190,000km (118,000 miles) life!!!.
