MG Mechanic in Essex? (outside London)

As in the title, can anyone recommend a good mechanic or garage out in Essex, preferably somewhere near Chelmsford/Basildon/Southend, as our car will be arriving here this weekend and would like to get it properly checked over sometime this summer before I do too much driving in it.

Also preferably one who is happy to fit bits like an exhaust (unless there is a kind local soul willing to work for beer!).
