Piper 270H timing

Can the timing of Piper 270H with std camshaft gears be done just using the std marks graved on camshaft and crankshaft pulleys OR do we have to use dials and special procedure top TDC ?

Has the drive pin, on the head of the camshaft, the same timing with cams ?
