Ready For The Storms!

The sun was shining brightly yesterday just a perfect day to tackle the grubby hood. A couple of hours with a mild stardrops solution, a soft nail brush and the hose nozzle set to mist to wash away the soap saw a great improvement.



This morning a final wipeover, vacuum and lintbrush saw the hood ready for waterproofing. There are so many products to choose from but had recently acquired some good old Fabsil which has the benefit of being applied with a trusty paintbrush.



Two coats later, one across and one back to front with care to ensure the seams were well treated and all is done. Much easier and less messy to apply than aerosols and also to get even coverage. Now 4 hours into the do not get it wet for 6 hours and the sun still is shining so fingers crossed.



Hood is now a nice even black and ready for the rain which hopefully will stay away for a good while yet.
