Diesel Purge on an L series?

Anyone use liqui Moly or similar product on their L series? Videos ive seen just seem to pull off fuel lines and stick them into a bottle of this stuff for few minutes. Interested to know if/how this stuff works? Guessing its just a much more concentrated way than say sticking injector cleaner in your fuel tank?
