ZS TD Speedo Issue
Was cruising today at about 50-60 in 5th, I felt the car jerk, looked at the speedo and it dropped to 0, then power came back but no where near as quick as it was power wise..
Iv checked all fuses, connection to the speedo sensor, changed the speedo sensor for a known good one.. What else can it be?
It's not the diff bearings either, they are fine.
I'm thinking the actual speedo drive in the box has sheered maybe?
Doubt it's the speedo at fault either as if it was a speedo fault that wouldn't effect how it's driving, iv got reduced power and it's very jerky when I let off etc..
Anyone ever had this before? It was completely random..
The car does have ABS but don't think it's an ABS issue as the speedo runs off the gearbox not ABS on the diesels, and it would bring on the ABS light if there was a split reluctor ring or fault surely? The ABS still works spot on..
Is there anything else I can try?
Cheers
