ITG Maxogen Induction Kit Installation MG ZR 160
I'm hoping someone with a ZR 160 is still using this forum and has a ITG Maxogen Induction fit to a MK2 ZR 160. I have been looking through quite a few threads regarding this induction kit which i am buying as it appears it is the best kit you can get for these cars. Issue i have is that i used to have a BMC CDA on an old Rover 200 with a 1.4 K Series engine and i used the OEM cold air feed pipe from the Rover airbox and extended this to the input on the BMC air filter.
Reading a few posts it appears that people have tried to run cold air feeds themselves and have also completely removed the OEM airbox and CAF pipe but have had to take of the bumper and the headlight on the car. I really don't want to have to take the bumper off and i'm hoping i can get away with removing the OEM airbox for my ZR and leaving the OEM CAF pipe in place and then fit the ITG Maxogen kit in place of the OEM airbox.
If i do have to take the bumper off and the headlight also is this much of a job in order to remove the OEM CAF pipe?
It would be great if someone had some pictures of their induction kit fitted too as i can't quite work out where the intake feed on the kit is pointing to. It looks like it is located somewhere between the right side of the radiator but it would be helpful if i had some information before i purchase the kit later this week.
I'm going for the carbon fibre kit as it looks much better IMO but hopefully this should slightly increase the performance throughout the rev range and apparently it has quite a nice sound to it also.
Cheers :)
