Adjusting gear cables..

Hiya all.

I have suffered a broken gear change cable and have had to replace it.



I have been looking on the Internet for a while and found little information on adjustment so here is the simple piece of information I have been looking for.....



The gear end of the cable adjusts the gear selection...



The stick end of the cable adjusts where the gearstick sits..



I have been adjusting the cable for weeks with no joy until I tried this simple method so for anyone struggling to get gears, gearstick knocking, poor reverse selection or had to replace a cable as I have, the answer is, the cable is easier than you think to adjust..

Assuming of course the rose joints are in tip top condition...
