Exhaust ramblings..

My new to me TF160 has a rattling tailpipe. A quick check at my local independent tyre and exhaust place confirmed a broken weld on a seemingly otherwise ok back box. I believe my car suffered a rear end impact in a former life. Don't think it is blowing as such but rattling at idle which tends to get drowned out at any other speed. My exhaust place much to my surprise don't weld..



Thinking



1) Get the welding done at a garage



2) Get a standard aftermarket backbox replacement, like a Bosal or similar



3) Jump in with a stainless replacement, maybe a xpower thr flow or a Daytona



Do the Bosal's last, given our cars are easy on exhausts I believe.



The stainless options at Rimmers through xpart include xpower branded options, who makes these, suspect it is just rebranded far eastern stuff.



At some point during 2015 I hope to progress the car to a ITG filter and likely a Z & F remap. Should I bite the bullit now with a decent stainless that might better compliment these mods now or go for typical aftermarket Bosal. Given many of the stainless boxes offer little beyond a nicer noise how would a Bosal type sit with these eventual mods..
