Tyres - a minefield?

Budgeting for a complete set of one of the MG approved options for my TF160. I tend to be passionate about quality tyres on my existing and previous cars, ZT and ZR.



I had made my mind up to get the new ZE914s as recommended or approved by MG Motor Co.



The Toyo fanbase here I have not ignored and are a close 2nd on my list.



Reading recently on here about Toyo switching production from Japan to Malaysia adds a possible mismatch complication.



Almost certainly these Malaysian produced tyres have not been tested by MG unless anybody knows different?.



I won't even consider other options given the sensitivity of our cars to tyres. In fact I have a copy of the latest MG tech bulletin beside me as I type this.



Is anybody here running a set of 4 ZE914s? If so what's the verdict.

The ZE914's have appreciably better EC ratings than the Toyo, but on our cars at least appreciate it is not the be all and end all, unlike more normal cars.
