Dodgy MOT
I bought a car last year from a car lot, never done that before, but just a couple of weeks after a bad crash (not my fault, drunk driver forgot which side of the road we drive on) I received a payout for my car, the hire car was taken away and I needed a car quickly. I was in no fit state to inspect one myself due to cracked ribs.
Anyway, I tried to MOT the car last week, 11 months after purchasing and it failed on lots of corrosion. Including some it probably shouldn't have passed its last MOT on. I contacted the garage who just called me a moaning 2oser. I was about to write it off as a bad experience, but thought I'd just check the MOT history. Its last MOT was clean with not a single advisory, the previous one from a different garage 3 days prior had all the same faults my local garage just failed it on.
2+2=dodgy MOT. Searching shows corrosion MOT complaints have to be done within 3 months, however, with 3 MOTs, 2 showing the same faults and the middle one showing nothing, is there anything I can do?
