Tf boot brake light is it mot failure?

Hi after trying and failing to get it out of the boot and cracking one of the red reflector ends . Thought i would see what the forum said.
My unit has about 2 or 3 LEDs working at either end.
So first question is will this fail my mot booked for Thursday?
I think I will now be able to get it out but looks like I will need a new unit if I need it for the mot. eBay was £40 so that's a bit steep. Any cheaper options? Or advice welcome
