Vibration when breaking/changing down 1.8T ZT T)

I have a 2004 1.8t ZT T manual - since August last year - has run fine. However in the last few weeks I have noticed when breaking and changing down after running at speed there is a noticable vibration in the steering column -dont get any vibration at any other time.



Any ideas - do the engine mounts need replacing?
