Car running hot during emissions test
Hi All,
My brother is looking at buying a Rover 200, but it mentions:
The car was running hot during the emissions test which the garage presumed to be the Head Gasket
Would that be a likely cause?
My thoughts are it could be the Rad fan isn't working so caused the car to overheat slightly when idling, or possibly a dodgy thermostat?
Apparently there is also the advisories:
Slight seepage from power steering rack
and
oil mist to shock absorber
The first one, I'm guessing is a straight forward leak, but not sure what that would involve, the second one doesn't mean a great deal to me other than there was a small bit of oil found around the shock absorber?
Any advice/help would be grand guys :)
