Hello Ford, not quite goodbye Rover.
After twelve years of faithful motoring, I've been forced to take my 200 off the road and out to pasture.
She was booked in for MoT but the garage actually stopped proceedings and said it "wasn't worth doing the work". Here was basically what was wrong:
Brake lines corroded (MoT fail)
O/S/R shock absorber leaking (MoT fail)
N/S/R shock absorber weak (MoT advisory)
Four tyres near legal limit (MoT advisory)
Corrosion to exhaust front pipe.
Oil leak from cylinder rocker cover.
I'm undecided as to what to do with her, although I think she's too good to scrap. So she's on the driveway awaiting her fate.
Meanwhile, I am still doing motorway miles so have bought a Focus diesel. :)
