Views on polybushes?
Hi,
Been advised at the MOT that several bushes at the rear are worn. The car has 84k on the clock and is a 2003 model. We bought it not as a daily runner, but to have a bit of fun at track days. I would assume that after 11 years, and many miles, it is likely a number of the bushes may be somewhat worn by now to.
So, I hear alot about people moving to good ol' polybushes. Would this be an advisable move? As far as I understand it, they are stiffer with less compliance than normal rubber ones - but is this what is really needed? For an occasion road car with a few track days thrown in, which would be better, OEM rubber bushes or polybushes? Are polybushes all they are cracked up to be, or more of a marketing hype thing?
Thanks!
