VVC Timing Belt - Help / Guidance

Hello all,

I need some help / guidance with a VVC timing / VVC belt change.

I have in the past changed many timing belts on normal K Series and other engines with no problems (or locking tools).

Therefore I set about removing both belts on my new VVC engined car (with no locking tool). However (which I know is normal) the inlet cam has a lot of movement which can be turned with no effort using my hand.

So looking at the 2 VVC cams first with the small belt...

When the two cams are lined up.. the inlet can be moved by hand around 160 degrees in total.

So to fit the small belt, I need to remove the 17mm bolt from the inlet clam? And this cam can only be fitted back in one position (has a dowel right?), All I need to ensure is that the two cams line up?

With the timing belt side, the inlet cam again turns freely. Do I just re-fit the timing as normal ensuring all timing marks are lined up? Or just he inlet cam need to be in a certain position / under tension?

Thanks in advance...

I've tired to find a guide but had no luck :(
