Pulling out dents with hot air gun

Hi



Seen a few You Tube videos on taking out dents in bodywork by using a hot air gun to heat them up and then hammering or pulling the dent out. Not looking for professional finish as dent behind rear bumper but want to remove dent as rust is starting.



Any one used such a technique?
