Oil leak help, please?

My Rover 25 has a slow but steady drip, drip, drip leak.

From engine area.

If I drew grid-lines, front to back, it would be somewhere along where the steering column is aligned.

I can't get under the car at the moment as I'm in an on-street, paid-parking, area.

Any guidance, or ideas, please?

Hello,

My Rover makes a "knockknockknockknock) noise when I turn the steering wheel (either direction). It is most noticeable when traveling slowly.

I did look for a "How to..." article, on the forum, but could not find one relating to CV joints or under-engine knocking noises.

Please is anyone able to offer any guidance or opinions at all?
